Tom Ford’s show at New York Fashion Week is always a must-see. But despite all the A-listers who attended this week, one stood out — at least for Tom.
The queen of funk herself, Chaka Khan, came to see her very first show at New York Fashion Week, sitting front row in between Ciara and Kim Kardashian.
According to Page Six, Tom was in “complete awe. She was so excited to be there. She loved experiencing it. This wasn’t around during her heyday. It was the highlight of her trip to New York.”
People like Andre Leon Talley and Carine Roitfeld also gushed. “It was a surprise how the fashion community embraced her,” a source said. “She was meeting a lot for the first time. She and Kardashian traded ‘hair stories.’”
