Country music icon Reba McEntire recently spoke with Entertainment Tonight about the upcoming American Idol reboot, saying she would probably not make the best judge seeing as she’s too compassionate when it comes to critique.

“If anybody was bad, I don’t think I could say, ‘You were bad,’ or, ‘Honey, go get you a day job,'” she said. “I would definitely not be a Simon [Cowell].” She later added how excited she was to see her daughter in law Kelly Clarkson be a judge on The Voice. 

She also said she’d much rather have a Reba reboot. “There have been some [conversations] in the past and hopefully some in the future too. We’d love to do it.”
