‘Big Little Lies’ Star Shailene Woodley Might Have a Future Career in Politics

The actor and activist Shailene Woodley might be setting her eyes on Washington. In a new interview with the New York Times, the Big Little Lies star opens about her political dreams.

“There was a point last year when I was working for Bernie Sanders where I thought, ‘Huh, maybe I’ll run for Congress in a couple years.’ And you know what? I’m not going to rule it out. Who knows? Life is big, and I’m young,” she said. Earlier this year, Shailene was involved in protests against the Dakota Access oil pipeline in North Dakota and was arrested.

“If you tell someone, ‘You have to vote for this person to prevent A, B, C, and D,’ I don’t think there’s going to be much momentum,” Woodley told the Young Turks a while back.
