JK Rowling Shuts Down a Dude Knocking Down a Fellow Writer
Do not come after another writer in front of J.K. Rowling — she’ll gut you.
When first-time author Laura Kalbag shared the news of her debut book on Twitter, a German typographer Erik Spiekermann responded rather dismissively, by saying, “Actually, you wrote a text. It took a few other people & skills to make that into a book.”
Laura responded, saying, “Sorry, I’m so new, I’m still learning the correct language. Nothing I wrote, let alone the book, would be worthwhile without other people.”
But J.K. wasn’t having the man win.
“Congratulations on writing your first book, Laura. Other people edited, copyedited, proofread, printed and bound it. You wrote. Be proud x,” she wrote.
