Solange Knowles (Beyonce’s sister for those who aren’t in the know) made headlines in 2014 for basically karate kicking her brother in law, JAY-Z, in an elevator after the Met Gala.

Recently, JAY-Z opened up about the fight in an interview with Rap Radar. “We had one disagreement ever. Before and after we’ve been cool,” he said. “She’s like my sister. I will protect her. That’s my sister, not my sister-in-law. My sister. Period.”

He continued: “We’ve always had a great relationship. I fought my brothers and argued with my brothers my whole life. It just so happens, who we are, these things go into a different space. But it ain’t nothing.”
