Beloved actor John Heard died of a heart attack, according to the medical examiner’s report, released yesterday.

“Mr. Heard died a sudden cardiac death due to atherosclerotic and hypertensive heart disease,” the report stated. “Mr. Heard’s recent back surgery did not play a role in his death. The manner of death is natural.”

John was 72, and he was most famous for his roles in Home Alone and The Sopranos.
