Apparently, Starbucks’s Pink Drink Boosts New Mother’s Breast Milk (Hmmm…?)

Starbucks new Pink Drink seems to have more than one agenda, other than to quench one’s thirst. LifeHacker recently reported a few instances where new moms are pumping nearly two to 10 times as much milk after consuming the drink.

The drink is a Strawberry Acai Refresher, prepared with coconut milk rather than water. It was added to the lineup in April this year.

The reports were given by North Carolina mother of two, Laura Galvin, who’s now breastfeeding her 3-month old son. After ordering the drink, she apparently found her breasts engorged throughout the day. Every time she had a Pink Drink, the same occurrence would happened and she’d wind up pumping nearly 40 extra ounces of milk throughout the day.
