Apparently Tom Hanks was supposed to make a cameo in HBO’s hit show Girls, but scheduling wasn’t exactly up to par.

Sources on the series told Page Six that Tom was excited about his appearance on the show and really wanted to do it. In fact, his wife Rita Wilson starred as Allison Williams’ mom — so you know he had to love it! Unfortunately no one was able to compromise with scheduling conflicts.

It’s unsure who he would have played.

Tom is currently filming another Steven Spielberg movie called The Papers.
