Following Kathy Griffin’s infamous photo of carrying a mock decapitated Donald Trump, Anderson Cooper quickly said he thought it was gross and in bad taste. But are they still friends?

In an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Anderson said, “Yeah, we’re still friends. Look, I said a lot. I said what I said. I didn’t think what she said was appropriate but I wish her the best and back on the road… She’s incredibly funny and a lot of people love her and I think she will bounce back from this.”

At the time, Anderson said of the incident: “For the record, I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate.”
