It was during Jay-Z and Linkin Park’s collaborative EP Collision Course that these two insanely talented individuals worked together.

As Rolling Stone points out, the project was initiated by MTV, who’d asked Jay-Z to pick a partner to kick off the series MTV Ultimate Mash-Ups — he ended up choosing Linkin Park, but more specifically, Chester Bennington, who committed suicide last week.

Their single together “Numb/Encore” one a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration.
