To commemorate Shark Week (everyone’s favorite week), Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps is attempting to out swim the greatest beast of the ocean, a great white shark.

In Phelps vs. Shark: The Battle for Ocean Supremacy on the Discovery channel, Michael is NOT going to go down without a fight. Turns out, running with sharks has been on his bucket list.

“My whole life I’ve been very infatuated with sharks,” he told Esquire.com. “I grew up watching Shark Week, and I was always there glued to the TV. It was always during a time when I was competing.”

“Of course, people are probably going to be blown away,” Michael said. “You see how fast they are and you get why they are on the top of the food chain.”
