Thank God for People magazine — we can’t stop reading they’re latest cover story on Donald Trump Jr. and his past, including interviews from former college mates that say he was a hot mess.

“Donald Jr. was a drunk in college. Every memory I have of him is of him stumbling around on campus falling over or passing out in public, with his arm in a sling from injuring himself while drinking,” Scott Melker, a former Wharton School at Penn classmate wrote on Facebook.

In a 2004 New York magazine profile, Donald Jr’s reputation at school was getting into multiple “drunken, ‘do-you-have-any-idea-who-I-am?’ fights.” In fact, he himself said, “To be fairly candid, I used to drink a lot and party pretty hard. And it wasn’t something that I was particularly good at. I mean, I was good at it, but I couldn’t do it in moderation.”

A friend who went to frat parties with him told People that “everyone was warned to stay away from Donnie Trump.”

Is this a case of like father like son? After all, Donald Sr. bragged about “grabbing women by the p*ssy” in the Access Hollywood videotape.

As far as his drinking, a source who worked for the Trump family told People, “There is a lot of impulsive behavior in the family.”

After graduating, Donald Jr. moved to Aspen, Colorado and lived out of the bay of a truck — and even bartended, according to Vanity Fair. It was during this time that he stopped talking to his dad altogether. The same year he was sent to jail for public drunkenness, he returned to New York City to work for the Trump Organization.

“I guess he’s trying to learn from me … but I didn’t like it,” Trump said on Larry King Live not long afterward. “He’s a good kid … and I said, ‘You have a name that’s hot as a pistol — you have to be very careful with things like this.’”
