You guys remember when Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte was suspended for 10 months fro the USA Swimming national team after he and three swimmers fabricated a story about being robbed at gunpoint during the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil?

Well, as a result he was suspended from the team. That suspension is now complete and Ryan says he’s ready to compete again — but is the public on his side this time around?

“It’s been a long suspension but it’s over, I’ve learned and became a better man from it…. now let’s go #2020 #teamtyr #2020isforyoucaiden #justletmework,” Lochte wrote on Instagram.

Ryan has since had a baby with fiancee Kayla Rae Reid and opened up about his suicidal thoughts he experienced following the scandal.

“After Rio, I was probably the most hated person in the world,” he told ESPN. “There were a couple of points where I was crying, thinking, ‘If I go to bed and never wake up, fine. I was about to hang up my entire life.”
