Hey Single Ladies, Patti Stanger Says New York is a ‘Cesspool’ for Dating! Oy Vey

Renowned matchmaker (and all round great advice giver) Patti Stanger recently opened up to Page Six about what it’s like dating in New York City versus Los Angeles. And apparently, it’s vastly different.

“In the male world they scan you and go ‘Not my f–king type,’ but when it’s their type they go slow. They won’t hit it and quit it,” she said. “They know the value in you. New York City is a cesspool. It’s worse than L.A. to date because there aren’t enough men and we’re zipcode snobs.”

Patti also said she uses Bumble to sniff out the dating pool because she hopes to develop her own dating app soon.

“[Men are] getting their love tank filled up by the attention on the apps, so they don’t even feel like they need to take you out to dinner, and it’s very different now,” she told Page Six. “Men are just not men. When it trickles down to dating it’s even worse because now you’re blaming us that we’re not only taking care of the kids, we’re paying the bills, we got an education but now we’re too smart and now you feel intimidated. Get the f–k out of here. Grow the f–k up. It takes three incomes to make it, not two. Now they’re blaming us. They’re like children, and all they want to do is sit at home and watch Netflix.”

She also points to Amal Clooney as an example:

“We all need to take classes from Amal. We need to go to the school of Amal,” she said. “We have to learn how to rope the man in, how to get babies when they’re too old and they don’t want them. I mean I want to talk to her. She’s my hero, and she has a fabulous career. I think she’s awesome.”
