J.K. Rowling Thanks ‘Harry Potter’ Fans on the 20th Anniversary of the Series

J.K. Rowling is one bad ass muggle (but let’s face it, she’s one bad ass witch).

It’s hard to believe it’s been 20 years since the release of the first book: Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. In a tweet, the renowned author thanked her legions of fans.

“Twenty years ago today, a world that I had lived in alone was suddenly open to others. It’s been wonderful. Thank you,” she wrote.

She also included a new hashtag #HarryPotter20, which turns into a Harry Potter emoji (a lightning bold and round glasses).

J.K., from all of us to you, trust me when I say it’s YOU we should be thanking. Thanks for the memories!

Oh, and keep on tweeting!
