‘Wonder Woman’ Officially the Highest Grossing Action Flick by a Female Director
It’s official folks — Wonder Woman is a smash hit!
The movie, directed by Patty Jenkins (who also directed Monster), has earned over $650 million worldwide, making it the highest grossing action film directed by a woman.
According to Entertainment Weekly, “With an estimated domestic haul of $318.4 million in what is now the DCEU movie’s fourth weekend at the box office, Wonder Woman has officially earned more than Man of Steel did during its entire run ($291 million) and tied Marvel’s Iron Man ($318.4 million), which kicked off the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe. It’s also on track to out-earn both Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice ($330 million) and Suicide Squad ($325 million).”
