Rest easy, everyone. Ron Howard’s got this.

The Oscar-winning filmmaker is stepping in to take over the upcoming Han Solo Star Wars spinoff movie.

Lucasfilm made the announcement today, two days after the unexpected pullout of the film’s original directors, Christopher Miller and Phil Lord, who left the project due to creative differences. President of Lucasfilm, Kathleen Kennedy, said in a statement on StarWars.com:

“Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are talented filmmakers who have assembled an incredible cast and crew, but it’s become clear that we had different creative visions on this film, and we’ve decided to part ways.”

In a new statement today regarding Ron taking over the role of director, Kathleen said:

“At Lucasfilm, we believe the highest goal of each film is to delight, carrying forward the spirit of the saga that George Lucas began forty years ago.”

The still untitled film will tell the story of young Han Solo, played by Alden Ehrenreich. Filming began in London in February, and took a brief break due to the directorial issues. Ron is set to take over on July 10.
