Patton Oswalt Has Found Love Once Again

Patton Oswald is smiling again.

The comedian’s wife, Michelle McNamara, passed away unexpectedly in her sleep in April of 2016, and he became a single parent to their 8-year-old daughter, Alice Rigney. In a Facebook tribute in February, the star shared that he finally removed his wedding band. He wrote:

“I couldn’t bear removing it since April 21st, 2016. But now it felt obscene. That anonymous poem about the man mourning his dead lover for a year and a day, for craving a kiss from her ‘clay cold lips.’ I was inviting more darkness. Removing the ring was removing the last symbol of denial of who I was now, and what my life is, and what my responsibilities are. But it’s not fatal.”

The 48-year-old has a new reason for happiness, though. On Sunday, Patton headed to Disneyland with his new love, Meredith Salenger. Both shared pics on social media of them enjoying themselves, despite their “dorky” tendencies. Take a look!

Meredith, a credited actress and a Harvard grad, posted some more sweet pics to Instagram. See below:

The pair attended the premiere of the new movie, Baby Driver, on Wednesday, hand in hand. A source close to the couple told PEOPLE, “it’s new and they’re very happy.” The insider added, “They met through mutual friend Martha Plimpton. They started chatting as friends and it blossomed from there.” Meredith tweeted a cute selfie from inside the theater:

Aww!

We wish them lots of happiness together!
