Alyssa Milano Sues Ex-Business Manager for $10M for Misconduct

Alyssa Milano is not doing that great in the money department. In fact, she’s apparently spiraled into a huge financial disaster. But according to her, it’s her business manager’s fault, which is why she has filed a $10 million lawsuit against him.

The suit says accountant Kenneth Hellie and his firm Hellie, Hoffer & Co. forged her signature on checks while failing to pay overdue bills and taxes, as well as telling her to make bad investments in businesses — which he was also an investor — without telling her of the conflict of interest.

As a result, Alyssa and her husband, talent agent David Bugliari, were left with millions of dollars in debt and their credit in ruins.

When filed with the suit, reps from Hellie compared it to Johnny Depp’s lawsuit in which he is blaming his business managers (read more about that HERE).

“We anticipated this defense,” said Milano’s attorney, Ellyn Garofalo, a partner at Liner LLP. “Nothing could be further from reality. Alyssa and David live a relatively modest lifestyle centered on their family. It is unfortunate that Mr. Hellie finds it appropriate to blame the clients who trusted him rather than take responsibility for his own negligence and misconduct.”
