The very public case of Bill Cosby ended in a mistrial in Pennsylvania as the jury was unable to come to a decision, for the 2004 rape of Andrea Constand.

The 79-year old actor is not out of this mess.  Within minutes of the mistrial being announced, the Montgomery County District Attorney’s office said they would retry the case.

According to CNN:
“About an hour into the sixth day of deliberations, Judge Steven O’Neill declared the jury of seven men and five woman hopelessly deadlocked in a legal battle closely watched by the public as well as dozens of women who have accused Cosby of similar misconduct in the past. He faced three charges of aggravated indecent assault.”

Cosby, a day earlier, spoke to the crowds outside the courthouse.  According to CNN, he said this:

“I just want to wish all of the fathers a Happy Father’s Day and I want to thank all of the jury for their long days, their honest work individually. I also want to thank the supporters who’ve been here and please to the supporters, stay calm, do not argue with people, just keep up the great support. Thank you all. Thank you.”
