Prosecco Popsicles, Rosé Margaritas? Read This Summer’s Best Cocktails!

Summer is always going to be about the alcohol, but not just a regular glass of wine — those are just for beginners. This year, people are getting super creative and making frozen treats that are already making us salivate.

Let’s start with our favorites:

Prosecco Popsicles:

The U.K.-based company Pops have put together popsicles containing alcohol (around 4 percent each). They have champagne, rosé, and prosecco bellini options. Tell us this isn’t making you thirsty!

The Frosé:

People are calling it the drink of the summer, and we’re likely to agree. It’s a slushy version of rosé, and yes it tastes just as good as it looks.

Learn how to make it by watching the video above.

Thanks to Cosmopolitan, we have the recipe:

Directions:

  1. Dip the rims of six margarita glasses in simple syrup, then rim each one in edible glitter.
  2. In a pitcher, add simple syrup, lime juice, tequila, and rosé.
  3. Stir well.
  4. Add ice and lime wedges to each glass.
  5. Pour, and serve.

Watermelon Sangria:

Who doesn’t like a watermelon sangria? Thanks to Delish, we can all have one!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Large watermelon
  • 1 750-ml bottle white wine
  • 2 c. white rum
  • 1 c. Seltzer

  • 2 limes, thinly sliced
  • 2 c. assorted fresh or frozen fruit, such as pineapple, blueberries, and strawberries

Directions:

  1. Slice off the top third of the watermelon lengthwise (save for later use) and score fruit with a knife. Using a large spoon or ice cream scoop, scoop out watermelon and transfer to blender.
  2. Blend watermelon until smooth. (If desired, strain seeds.)
  3. Add white wine, rum, seltzer, and lime juice and stir until combined, then add limes and fruit.
  4. Refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours, then serve.
