Ellen DeGeneres doing stand-up again? Yes, please!

After a playful exchange on Twitter this morning, it seems like it just might happen!

Netflix tweeted:

Looks like it’s been 15 years since you did a stand-up special, @TheEllenShow. How about one for Netflix?

To which Ellen replied:

Ellen’s previous stand-up specials were Ellen DeGeneres: The Beginning in 2001, and Ellen DeGeneres: Here and Now in 2003. Both were on HBO and each earned her multiple Emmy nominations. Since then, the comedian’s career has centered on her talk show, which just wrapped its 14th season. She is also busy with her production company, A Very Good Production, which produced the upcoming animated series, Green Eggs and Ham for Netflix, NBC’s Little Big Shots, ABC’s Splitting Up Together, and many other unscripted shows.

Netflix has not commented further and there are currently no other details. We’ll keep you posted!
