We’re sure you have your favorites, but did you ever wonder which of the hilarious Seinfeld episodes Jerry likes best?

The comedian sat down for an interview with GQ, and fielded a lot of questions about himself and the iconic show. When first asked if a person could only watch one episode of the hit series, which would he recommend, he was noncommittal. He said:

“The thing that is most similar to comedy is food, in that everybody’s taste is totally personal. You go to any restaurant: ‘I think it was great.’ ‘I thought it was mediocre.’ ‘I thought it was too salty.’ And it’s the same thing with comedy. So you can’t really recommend comedy, in the way that you can’t recommend food.”

When pressed with the slightly more specific “Okay. If you were going to re-watch an episode, which would it be?” Jerry responded with:

“I really like ‘The Pothole,’ because Newman bursts into flames at the end and screams, ‘Oh, the humanity!’ But I also love ‘The Marine Biologist’ and ‘The Yada Yada.'”

As far as who he thought was the funniest guest star, he did have a clear fave. He said:

“Of course Bryan Cranston as the lascivious dentist. Larry Thomas as the Soup Nazi. We had the best guest stars. Newman was recurring, and to have him on the show was always our favorite. Larry David and I loved writing Newman more than any of the other guest stars.”

When it comes to interacting with fans, Jerry prefers to actually chat with them instead of just posing for a picture. When asked if he minds when fans come up to him, he said:

“Not at all, not at all. In fact, since I’ve stopped taking pictures, I’ve been actually enjoying it a lot. I talk with people and learn a little bit about them, and I don’t just stand there with a fake smile and watch someone struggle to get the camera function to work. I don’t like that. And the pictures don’t really mean anything anyway. But talking to someone and having that real interaction can be nice. You can actually get something out of that.”
