Celine Dion Recorded ‘My Heart Will Go On’ During Her Time of the Month — And She Still Slayed!

It goes without saying that Celine Dion killed it at the Billboard Music Awards singing “My Heart Will Go On” from the iconic movie Titanic. The lady is always going to bring the house down!

But it might shock you to know that the reigning Queen of Everything never actually wanted to sing the song that launched her into a completely different universe. She hated it at first!

During an interview with Billboard, it was also revealed that Titanic director James Cameron didn’t like the song either, saying he was “dead set against ending his epic with a pop song.”

But thanks to Celine’s late husband Rene Angelil, James was convinced to listen to a demo. Of course, it was a game changer.

“I was mad! I don’t feel good,” Celine said of recording the demo. “I have belly pains. My girly days are starting to happen.” But still, she laid it out and impressed everyone.

“They told me, ‘You know that Kate Winslet said every time she hears the song, she wants to throw up?’” she sadded, “And I answered, ‘Thank God she didn’t have to sing it!’ I’m so glad that my husband said, ‘I really think that you should do that song.’”
