Bomb Goes Off at Ariana Grande Concert: Multiple Fatalities
At the end of the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, England, a bomb went off injuring and killing concert goers.
Greater Manchester Police released a statement saying 19 people have been confirmed dead with around 50 injured, according to CNN.
The sound of the explosion thundered throughout the concert hall around 10:30 pm (UK time) according to The New York Times.
Concertgoer Sasina Akhtar said there was an explosion at the back of the arena after the last song. This is what she told The Manchester Evening News:
“We saw young girls with blood on them, everyone was screaming and people were running.”
Sadly, this attack reminds many of the attack in Paris in November of 2015, where a deadly assault occurred during the Eagles of Death Metal concert.
According to her publicist, Ariana is okay, and they are further investigating what happened.
We are sending nothing but healing thoughts and our condolences to those that passed away.
