Lena Dunham has canceled her upcoming Lenny IRL tour due to the return of her endometriosis. The Girls star took to Facebook to let people in on what was happening. She wrote:

“To be perfectly honest, I’m in the greatest amount of physical pain that I have ever experienced. After being told I was endometriosis-free after my last procedure, more disease was found in deeper spots that required immediate surgery and now physical therapy.”

The actress did not want to disappoint by not being able to give all of herself to the six-city tour. She wrote:

“Lenny is about giving 100 percent of ourselves, 100 percent of the time, and I couldn’t bear to limp through this. Not for you, our favorite people, and not for the women giving their time to join me on the road.”

The Lenny: American IRL Tour was meant to be a get-together of people who frequently contribute to the online newsletter co-founded by Lena and collaborator Jenni Konner to open communication about life, politics, and sisterhood.

Endometriosis is when cells normally found in the uterus grow on other organs in the body. The condition can be very painful.

Lena wrote that all tickets will be refunded and that she hopes to reschedule the tour when her “uterus has taken a chill pill.”

Feel better, Lena!
