Tim Allen Blasts ABC For Canceling His Sitcom ‘Last Man Standing’

It’s been a crazy couple weeks with all these networks canceling some of our favorite shows (check out the list HERE). And many of the stars whose names appear as top billing are not going down without a fight, and one of them is Tim Allen.

Tim’s show Last Man Standing was canceled by ABC, and recently he tweeted his feelings:

“Stunned and blindsided by the network I called home for the last six years,” he wrote.

ABC decided to let go of its Friday comedies, but Last Man Standing received a huge outcry to try and save. Many fans say that ABC is trying to muzzle the show’s conservative values (Tim Allen himself describes himself as conservative). ABC Entertainment President Channing Dungey wouldn’t answer a reporter’s question about whether politics played a role in the show’s cancelation.

The show brought in an average of 5.89 million viewers, which is pretty good — more than Black-ish, Shark Tank, and The Goldbergs — all of which were renewed.
