It’s a no for Simon Cowell, dog.

The iconic American Idol judge is definitely not wavering about returning for the show’s upcoming revival.

During an interview with Extra, the 57-year-old shared, “I was asked to do it, and the answer is no.”

That’s pretty clear! He elaborated, though, saying, “I have no interest. My memories are when we first started. It was a different time with Randy [Jackson], Ryan [Seacrest] and Paula [Abdul]. You can’t recreate that. I left for a reason and I never regretted that.”

The star reiterated his feelings about the reboot in an interview with Today. He said, “When I really, really thought about it, it was kind of like, ‘How can you go back again?’”

Simon is still putting his talent-critiquing skills to good use, though, as he is currently a judge on both America’s Got Talent and Britain’s Got Talent.
