Trump Explains Why He Fired Comey: ‘He Wasn’t Doing a Good Job…’
Donald Trump recently defended the sudden firing of FBI Director James Comey, telling reporters that he wasn’t doing a good job.
The statement happened from the Oval Offie during a meeting with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger.
The president also shook his head when asked if the firing affected his meeting with the Russians today — he previously met with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov as well as Russia’s ambassador to the U.S., Sergey Kislyak.
“Because he wasn’t doing a good job, very simply. He was not doing a good job,” Trump answered plainly when asked why he fired Comey.
