Patti LuPone Comes After Madonna: ‘She Should Not Be on Film or on Stage’

You know we love our divas, and if there’s one diva you don’t ever want to mess with it’s the star of Broadway Ms. Patti LuPone.

In an interview on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, the diva went on a rant about Madonna, who famously played Evita on the big screen, a role in which Patti originated on Broadway (and won a Tony for).

“I thought it was a piece of s—. Madonna is a movie killer,” she said of Madonna’s Evita. “She’s dead behind the eyes. She couldn’t act her way out of a paper bag. She should not be on film or on stage. She’s a wonderful performer for what she does, but she is not an actress.”

Good Lawd!
