Paris Jackson may have quite the task ahead of her.

The 19-year-old daughter of the late Michael Jackson has reportedly been tapped to play Madonna in an upcoming movie about her life. As if that wasn’t daunting enough, it seems that the Queen of Pop isn’t feeling it.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Universal has obtained the rights to the script, with Mariah Carey and Brett Ratner attached to produce. After the news broke, Madonna took to Instagram to protest the project writing:

 “Nobody knows what I know and what I have seen. Only I can tell my story. Anyone else who tries is a charlatan and a fool. Looking for instant gratification without doing the work. This is a disease in our society.”

As a result, producers are dedicated to casting someone that will make the singer happy. A source told The Mirror:

“Madonna is not supporting the film yet but the makers are hoping to cast someone who she will love. At the moment they are in talks with Paris. If she agrees it will be a massive coup for producers as Madonna is a big fan of Paris.”

The film, which is being developed from a script titled, Blonde Ambition, will focus on Madonna’s journey to stardom.
