Eminem is suing the New Zealand National Party because they used a soundalike of his song and never got permission or paid him for the tune.

They breached copyright by using a piece of music back in a 2014 election advertisement that sounded VERY similar to the rapper’s hit, “Lose Yourself.”

Take a look and listen to the comparison of the two songs within the actual courtroom, here.

Eight Mile Style says the National Party breached several sections of the Copyright Act by using a piece of production music called “Eminem Esque.”  The party bought the tune from a company called BeatBox, according to NewsHub.com.

The National Party denies the allegation and the hearing will decide if the copyright was in breach.  What do you think?
