Hard to believe it’s been two years since the death of Bobbi Kristina Brown, the daughter of the late/great Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown.

It was just a matter of time before producers latched on to making a movie about the young girl’s life.

This summer, TV One will premiere the biopic of the 22-year old’s brief time in the spotlight called Bobbi Kristina. The network announced it during their “upfront” presentation this week, saying the film is going to be an “intimate look at the highs and lows of parental, familial and romantic love complicated by fame through the eyes of a sensitive, vulnerable young woman.”

Disney channel star Joy Rovers will be playing the title role, while singer Demetria McKinney will be playing the wonderful Whitney Houston and The Wire’s Hassan Johnson will be playing Bobby Brown.

Whitney and Bobbi Kristina’s lives both ended tragically. Nadju Jeter, who was found liable in Bobbi Kristina’s wrongful death case, is also going to be a role in the film.

“Bobbi Kristina’s high-profile life—and untimely death—may have been shrouded in mystery, but this film will reveal her humor, quirks, deepest fears and longings,” the network said. “This film explores her fight to be seen, heard, loved and to survive.”
