On Monday night’s episode of The Voice, Adam Levine and his team paid tribute to the late Voice alum, Christina Grimmie. The singer addressed Christina’s family in the audience saying:

“I loved her so much. I miss her. It’s unfair that she’s not here, and we’re going to sing her a little song tonight. I’m going to be singing every word to her, in her honor. We love you, Christina.”

Adam and his team members, Jesse Larson, Lilli Passero and Mark Isaiah, then hit the stage to perform an emotional rendition of The Beatles hit, “Hey Jude.” Check out the heartfelt performance below:

Christina was tragically shot and killed last summer by a fan while signing autographs in Orlando, Florida.
In addition to the beautiful tribute, Adam and the show’s host, Carson Daily, announced the Christina Grimmie Foundation, which aims to “support to individuals and families who suffer from the devastating effects of gun violence; and support for families facing breast cancer diagnosis.”
