You Have to Watch John Legend Discuss The Love He Has For His Child – TEARS!
First-time parents John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are the cutest and coolest couple in Hollywood (at least in our books). The love they have for each other and their family is insurmountable.
In an interview with Stephen Colbert, John lets us in on exactly what that kind of love means:
“It’s a different kind of love,” the dad said to Stephen. “It’s very pure, it’s unconditional, but they haven’t earned it yet. They didn’t do anything, they just exist and…”
“Right…but you love them completely,” Colbert added.
“Yeah, you love them completely, but it’s not like built on anything other than…” Legend said. “Oh, it’s beautiful, it’s very emotional, and it brings you and your wife closer together. It’s a very like powerful feeling to see the product of your love right there in front of you.” As far as when the kids get older, “Chrissy says, ‘If they don’t want to come have dinner with us when we’re old and if they don’t want to hang out or call us, I’m gonna be so sad.’ We put so much love into this.”
