Hold on to your winter hats- we now know when we can officially reunite with Elsa and Ana!

Disney has announced that Frozen 2 will hit theaters on November 27th 2019. The film marks the second installment of the animated hit which brought in almost $1.3 billion worldwide. Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee will return to direct, and Josh Gad, the voice of the beloved snowman, Olaf, is confirmed to reprise his role.

Everyone is staying pretty quiet about any further details. Back in March, Kristen Bell, who played Ana, spoke highly about the sequel to Collider. She said:

“We’re just about to [start recording lines for ‘Frozen 2’]. They’ve just written it and they’re still doing tweaks, but I think we should be recording this month. The story is great, and they exude quality. What I know about that whole team is that they wouldn’t just put something out to put it out. That’s why it took them so long to even announce that we were doing a second one. Generally when you have a first successful movie you want to make a second one. It took them a while because they wanted to figure out what story they needed to tell and what would be important and engaging and I think they found it.”

Two and a half years is a painfully long time to wait, but we’re sure it will be worth it!
