When you’re Jennifer Lopez, you don’t need much of a pickup line when it comes to starting a relationship!

The beauty stopped by The Ellen DeGeneres Show today, and opened up about the very simple way her relationship with Alex Rodriguez got its start. She said, “It’s very simple. I was having lunch somewhere and I saw him, ” she continued, “I saw him walk by and then afterwards I went outside, but for some reason I just felt like tapping him on the shoulder and saying hi. And I said, ‘Hi, Alex,’ and he was like, ‘Hi, Jennifer,’ … and then that was it.”

After confirming that they were both living in Los Angeles, A-Rod suggested they “hang out,” and JLo agreed, saying, “Well, you can find me. You have my number.” The Yankee alum later sent her a text that said, “Let’s go out to dinner,” and they did. When Ellen asked if she spent the night, JLo quipped, “No. Mama don’t sleep over on the first date.” LOL!
