This New Blue Wine Will Make You Forget All About the Unicorn Frappaccino

Your choices of wine might need to expand to red, white, and blue, thanks to the genius wine makers at Gik!

The Spanish company just launched blue wine in Spain, and because it was such a hit, they’re bringing it over to the U.S.A. so we can drink, chill, and hope our teeth don’t turn blue. Unicorn Frappa-what?!

The people at Gik were apparently tired of wine impresarios pretending to learn about wine instead of actually enjoying it. So, they created this “chilled, sweet” wine made from a mixture of both red and white wine, as well as grapes.

“Gik is not a wine, it is a revolution,” the say on their website. “Try to forget everything you know about wine. Try to unlearn the hundreds of protected wine designations of origin, the complex and demanding service standards and everything that sommelier said at a tasting course to which you were invited. Forget traditions and forget that we are speaking about the liquid which represents the blood of Christ at church”

Now open your eyes, what do you see? A sweet and blue drink with 11.5 degrees of alcohol. That’s Gïk. Do you want to try it?

And… it’s only $11 a bottle! Ho-Ly Crap.

There’s no set release for this magical blue wine to hit America, but it should be coming soon.

In the meantime, prepare your palates!
