Saoirse Ronan Misspelled Ed Sheeran’s Tattoo!
When it comes to tattoos, proofreading is important, people! Ed Sheeran learned this lesson the hard way.
The singer recently teamed up with the Oscar nominee on the music video for his newest single, “Galway Girl,” and he wanted a little memento from the experience. Ed asked Saoirse to write the name of the song in her handwriting to be tattooed on his arm.
While in performing in Glasgow over the weekend, Ed showed the finished product to the audience and shared the story about its origin. He held up his right arm and said:
“When we were filming it, I meant to get a tattoo of her handwriting saying Galway Girl. It actually says Galway Grill… G-R-I-L-L.”
Saoirse had purposely misspelled the word as a joke! Instead of being mad, Ed told the audience he is really feeling the imperfect ink. He said:
“Thought I’d tell you that. Haven’t told anyone about that yet. I’m actually kind of proud of it. It’s the kind of thing that I would do.”
The newest art is one of more than 60 tattoos on Ed’s body, so as far as mistakes go, 1 out of 60 isn’t so bad!
