Gary Fisher, Carrie Fisher’s beloved French Bulldog, is scheduled to make his first solo public appearance since his owner, Carrie Fisher, passed away in December.

The pooch, who served as a service animal to the actress, is no stranger to being in the public eye, having traveled everywhere with Carrie while she promoted Star Wars: The Force Awakens and her book, “Wishful Drinking.”

According to People, Gary will be making a guest appearance next weekend at the Silicon Valley Comic Con, a comic book, pop culture, and technology convention which draws fans by the thousands. The pup will greet fans and pose for photos. After all, he does have over 136,000 of his own Instagram followers!

Since Carrie’s passing, Gary has moved in with Corby McCoin, the late star’s assistant. All the proceeds raised by Gary’s appearance will go toward his care.
