Yesterday we brought you the story about Ryan Phillippe’s response to rumors that he is dating Katy Perry, and today Katy has responded, in a hilarious way.

When Ryan tweeted, “I AM NOT DATING KATY PERRY. BARELY KNOW HER. PLEASE STOP FLYING HELICOPTERS OVER MY HOUSE. SHE IS NOT HERE,” one follower responded with, “Thats what some1 who has Katy Perry in his basement would say…..”

Katy caught wind of the exchange, and replied to Ryan’s tweet with, “Can u let me out of this basement pls,” to which Ryan quipped back, “never.”

Katy capped off the convo by apologizing to the actor for the paparazzi drama, tweeting:

Hi, nice to meet you, sorry bout that @RyanPhillippe carry on, lol.
