Watch out, Ed Sheeran, James Blunt is coming for you!

Though Ed has dominated the singles charts for four weeks, he may now have some fierce competition. Well, according to his buddy, anyway. James took to Twitter yesterday to share his epic vision. He posted an image of the singles chart with Ed’s songs occupying the first 8 spots, but took the liberty of making a few changes. With a red marker, he wrote the track names from his new album, The Afterlove, over Ed’s songs, and plastered his album cover over Ed’s in each spot as well. Take a look:

The Afterlove, released on March 24, is James’ first album in four years and has peaked at number 6 on the album chart. Before it’s release, James told fans that it would be unlike what they’ve heard from him in the past. During an interview on Chris Evans’ Radio 2 show, he said,  “It’s a bit different, its not necessarily me on my guitar, writing weepy miserable songs. It’s got a bit of a different vibe to it so I’m a bit nervous about putting it out really. I’m asking people to have an open mind to it.”

It’s a lofty goal, but only time will tell if James’ dream will become a reality.
