Start Trek’s George Takei delivered one of the best April Fools joke so far, after claiming he was running for Congress in California and getting everybody excited and hopeful for the future — who doesn’t want George’s witty tweets to make it to the floor?!

Of course, once he saw how quickly the news spread, he thought to announce it was all a joke. Then he promoted Democrat Jon Ossoff’s run for the open Georgia U.S. House seat. Way to get eyeballs on politics, George!
