The Dancing With the Stars pro dancer Maksim Chmerkovskiy had to undergo surgery for a calf injury, which ended up forcing him to not dance for a couple weeks. But even in a hospital gown, he still looks like he can twirl for days!

“Gettin’ un-broken,” he wrote on Instagram.

The injury happened last Friday during rehearsal with celebrity partner Heather Morris. When it was clear he couldn’t make it, Alan Bersten had to fill his place.

He’s since said that it’s uncertain when he will be returning to the show, but he hopes it will be soon.

“I think it’s been said that he has tears in his calf muscles, so it’s going to take a couple of weeks to get better,” Maksim’s fiancee Peta Murgatroyd told Access Hollywood. “So I hope he’s back out there in a couple weeks killing it again. He’s having a surgery done, yeah. But then rehab starts after that. It’s serious, in that regard. It’s not just an ice pack situation. He’s a quick healer. He’s going to be fine.”
