Jennifer Hudson Reveals How She Has Kept Off 80 Pounds

Back in 2012, Jennifer Hudson sat down with Redbook and shared that she had lost a staggering 80 pounds, going from a size 16 down to a size 6.

Well, it’s been 5 years since then, and the star has managed to keep all of  it off. So, how does she do it?

The American Idol alum stopped by British talk show Lorraine on Wednesday, and revealed the secret to her success. She said, “Well, I don’t really have time to do much [exercise],” she said. “I just watch what I eat. I’m very careful and cautious of what I’m eating and I just try to place those meals throughout the day.”

Jennifer makes smart choices about what to eat and when. She added, “If it’s early in the morning, OK, I would still be asleep, so I’m not gonna eat right now. I’m very conscious of what I put in my body.”

The Oscar winner became a brand ambassador for Weight Watchers in 2010, and helped many people follow in her footsteps. In March of 2014, Jennifer parted ways with the company on good terms. At the time, a rep for Weight Watchers told Us Weekly, “Jennifer’s healthy lifestyle and successful weight loss has inspired so many — from her friends and family to our members and staff, as well as people around the world — and we know that inspiration lives on.”
