RuPaul’s Drag Race’s new home on VH1 brought in the show’s largest audience ever recorded. Talk about starting with a bang!

Last Friday, Hollywood Holler’s own Ross Mathews and hostess with the mostess Wendy Williams brought the house down with their “Fierce Fridays” pregame party in New York City as they welcomed the season nine premiere of Drag Race, which debuted to nearly a million viewers — the highest it’s ever been for the series!

The show also broke its own record on Twitter, with Drag Race trending worldwide — yes, we said WORLDWIDE — throughout the night.

With a guest spot from Lady Gaga, a new home network and time slot, the addition of the lovable and affable Ross Mathews, RuPaul’s Drag Race is now in a whole other league of its own.

It’s time to roar our engines because THIS is going to be an epic (and slightly bumpy) season.

Here we go!

Don’t forget to check out the latest episode this Friday at 8 p.m. ET on VH1, where Lisa Kudrowand the B-52s will make an appearance.
