Carrie Fisher’s beloved companion, Gary, has found a new place to call home.

The French bulldog is now living with the late star’s assistant, Corby McCoin. TMZ reported that Corby and the pup are very bonded from all the traveling they both did with Carrie over the years, so it makes good sense for Gary to be with her.

Gary originally belonged to Carrie’s daughter, Billie Lourd. The young actress told Today on December 13, “I live for Gary. He was mine first and she actually stole him from me because she fell in love with him.”

The pooch acted as a service pet to aid Carrie with her bipolar disorder. She told The Herald Tribune back in 2015 that, “Gary is mental also. My mother says Gary is a hooligan. Gary is like my heart. Gary is very devoted to me and that calms me down.”

Gary has over 134, 000 Instagram followers, and posted two weeks ago for the first time in a while with hashtags that read “#garyloveshismom” and “garymisseshismom.” Take a look:

The dog was with Carrie when she when into cardiac arrest and stayed by her side in the hospital until she passed away. He was a loyal friend, and we are happy to hear he will be in good, loving hands.
