The Walking Dead finale is apparently so good that its stars danced around like children after reading the script.

According to Entertainment Weekly, after reading the script Norman Reedus said, “I was like, yes, let’s get back to it! It’s nice to finally let a window open up in this room and let some of this air out of here, and it’s nice to get some freedom and some dirt underneath your feet and start running towards killing this guy.”

Showrunner Scott M. Gimple said this year delivers a cliffhanger so great that it rivals some historic television moments. But unlike other finales of The Walking Dead, this is going to have an “ending” of sorts.

That’s when Reeder chimed in to say, “It’s completely different than all the other ones. It has similar elements, but it’s completely different, and, you know, there might be a little William Wallace in it.”

William Wallace, of course, is the dude Mel Gibson played in Braveheart: the knight and Guardian of Scotland who fought in the Wars of Scottish Independence.

Is it safe to say, then, that we’re going to see some zombies in kilts? God we hope so.
