Jessica Chastain was in New York City this week for a screening of her film The Zookeeper’s Wife, and while she was at the SAG-AFRA Robin Williams theatre, she opened up a little about the late comedian.

As Page Six reported, Jessica told a story about how she was a recipient of Robin Williams’ scholarship. An alumni of Juilliard himself, the comedian granted two student scholarships for his alma mater every year. Jessica happened to be one of those students.

A guest at the event said, “She was saying she sadly never got a chance to meet him, but it meant so much to her.”

The Zookeeper’s Wife is about a couple who saved hundreds of lives during the German invasion of Poland in World War II.

Without Robin’s scholarship, who knows what might have happened to Jessica. We might have missed out on one of Hollywood’s greatest actresses.
