Given the fact that Donald Trump hardly stays in his 132 room, 35 bathroom mansion at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, comedian Chelsea Handler thinks it’s a total waste of money and challenged him to list it on Airbnb.

“Trump loves Mar-a-lago, Melania is living in NYC. If Trump wants to save the budget, he should just list The White House on Airbnb,” she wrote.

According to The Washington Post, every trip Trump makes to Mar-a-lago (what many call “the Winter White House”) costs taxpayers over $3 million — that’s just for one trip! Staff and security must accompany him, so naturally the money adds up.

Chelsea has something here. After all, the 55,000 square foot house has 28 fireplaces, eight staircases, three elevators and five full-time chefs. Talk about a weekend getaway!

Our girl Chelsea is no stranger to speaking her mind about Trump. In an interview with Variety, she previously said, “We have to hold [Trump] accountable. And we have to make fun of him, just like you’d make fun of anybody who was president. Obama was boring in that sense — there was nothing to make fun of because he was so responsible and such a leader.”
